Found the following two on Vistek.

MC-30
MC-36

Are these my only two options that Nikon has for the D700?

Thanks

You can find cheap after market ones on eBay for as low as $8. How good are they? No clue.

you can use any remote cord which operates via the 10-pin remote. I believe there is the MC-20 as well.

Note the extra features of the MC-36 are duplicated by the D700 (and the D3 and D300).

I have both the MC-30 and MC-36 and find the MC-36 to be very, very convenient. Modifying the timer delay on the fly is so much easier than going through the menus on my D700/300, as is setting the intervalometer.

Unfortunately, it's also a lot bigger than the MC30.
