Oct. Social (Oct. 23, 2008)Posted on October 27, 2008A slightly smaller turnout for the October Social, but it made for easier mingling and more interaction! Food and beverages were enjoyed at the Duke of Kent pub at Yonge and Eglinton. Thanks to Many for the group shot!
 South Simcoe Railway (Oct. 19, 2008)Posted on October 27, 2008A bunch of us ventured to Tottenham to take a ride on The South Simcoe Railway. Before hand Daryl had made arrangments with Sherri to get us behind closed doors to photography steam engine #136 which is under restoration. They are hoping to have it up and running for the Spring time. On the train ride we headed to Beeton (end of line), but on the way we passed NOWHERE -- which is it " No Where " or " Now Here" ??? A bunch of had lunch and then headed out to the 7th line to catch a few shots of the train crossing the bridge -- we had 2 chances to do this. Garry has supplied us with a fisheye view of the gang on the train.
 Chinese Lantern Festival (Oct. 3, 2008)Posted on October 22, 2008TPMGers braved the cold and wind to visit the Chinese Lantern Festival at Ontario Place just before it closed for the season. Bright lights and a dark night made for some challenging shooting!

Two groups of TPMG'ers headed out to Algonquin Park to hike the Centennial Ridge Trail. Unfortunately, the 40% chance of showers did come true, but more like rain for the first bit of the hike. At least the rain let up and the skies remained overcast for the rest of the
