Details:

What: Presqu'ile Park Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend
When: Sat May 16 2015
Time: 6:00 AM
Where: Lighthouse parking lot inside Presqu'ile park
Bring: Camera, tripod, long lens, close up or macro, park fees

It is that time of year again :)

This is the weekend that the "Friends of Presqui'le" do their bird banding program.
They will have guide walks around the area and will point out and identify various birds.
Also in the surrounding woods there may be trilliums, trout lillies and other wild flowers.
They usually have a BBQ at the light house later on.
The program runs from 6:30AM till 4:00PM.
There are also some beautiful walking trails here.

See this site for info about the park.

http://friendsofpresquile.on.ca/warbler ... eekend.php

The park is approx 145km from Toronto. About 1h45min to 2h.

Thank you to those that came out. It was another nice day in the park. Still have to go through my images to see if I got anything worthwhile :)
We need some tame trained birds next time :)

Thank you Annie. Leo got a couple nice shots of the birds with their nesting material and I got lucky with a few shots. Always enjoy Presquille :)

Just to add to the fun my friend Barbara who came along won the binoculars from the Friends of Presquile draw at the visitor centre! Always a great event with varied photo opportunities, barbecue and chances to win prizes. It's got it all.

Hongr keep in mind for next year a 500 mm is nice, but there's lots of other photography subjects for any equipment you have.
