Fujifilm has announced two new grips for X-Pro1 and X-XE1. The new grip looks very interesting. More friendly for use and if the dovetail means it fits on Acra based heads that will be amazing. Unfortunately I haven't seen an date for availability nor any expected price. Doesn't even show up on the Fuji Canadian site.

http://www.fujifilm.com/news/n131218_01.html

Also announced was the final details on the 10-24 mm f/4 zoom lens. Should be available in March 2014 and will run about $1000 USD.

Rumours say that Fujifilm will announce the XF 56mm F1.2 R at CES 2014 (January 7 to 10). The lens has been expected since it is on the Fujifilm lens road map.

The XF 56mm F1.2 R? I haven't seen it listed on local web sites for order. Or do you mean it has been seen in the hands of testers?

The 10-24 mm f/4 is on web sites as a pre-order. I was wondering what happened to the Zeiss 50mm lens? Still on the road-map.

I so want the 56 1.2!!! But with my move out west coming soon I can't spend $1000 on a lens - maybe later in the summer I will be able too.

The 10-24 makes a lot more sense out west than the 56 to me.

I have my 14 2.8, 18 2.0 and fisheye. Plus I love detail work. But yes I guess wider is better out west - let's see what the reviews say of this lens first ;)

Sorry I don't know - but I do have a canon compatible TTL flash cord that works perfectly with my xpro1 and fuji flash. So I know there seems to be compatibility between canon and fuji flashes to a point.

Fuji rumours stuff. No X-Pro2 in the foreseeable future. Fuji is committed to a stable of 20 lenses. Other bits of info on their philosophical approach.

I'm actually interested in what the rumoured weathered sealed camera will be like!

I can understand why given the move to Calgary. Under water in the summer and under meters of snow in the winter!

I'd trade T.Dump for Calgary without hesitation given an opportunity.

XF 56mm f/1.2 R is listed on camera sites now. $999.99 to own. February expected delivery. Hmmm.

Other than flavour of the day retro styling the cameras have little to do/nothing with each other.

It's retro styling / form / function done right.
