Looks like the rumour of the new firmware update for X100 is still alive and might show up October/November.

Ok, that x100 firmware is supposedly coming tomorrow. Also a rumour of a full-frame X200...

Yes I'm hearing the same, x100 firmware tomorrow along with the update to the XE-1 (the XE-2) and another model with same sensor as x20 but in a body the size of a Sony rx100.

The x200 rumour just surfaced and supposively will be out next year and be full frame.

New fuji cameras announced (as has been rumoured for quite some time.

http://www.fujirumors.com/live-blogging ... more-17707

Looks like a nice upgrade to the EX-1.

BTW love that they updated the firmware to the x100!! (don't own one but its nice to see manufacturers actually support discontinued models! It does not happen enough)

updated. So far I found the only useful update was the manual focus and peaking. The rest isn't so substantial. Most noticeable is the lack of menu update. Still the same convoluted piece of garbage

After a bit of playing, AF seems to be slightly faster, also wakes up quicker, which was my main gripe

AF is faster as it the start up. Manual focus is a big improvement. Before the moment on the display scale was seriously jumpy and slow.

So the big question for those with an x100 does the new firmware make the camera seem like a new camera (as some have spewed) or is more a nice move by fuji that makes your quirky camera a little less quirky?

More like makes it what this camera was supposed to be in the first place. Definitely doesn't feel like a new camera. Still the menu sucks ballz.

I never really felt the X100 was quirky. Just like many other cameras in that you need to know how to use it to get the best from it. The V2.0 is a major improvement and fixes some issues. There are some quirks in the new firmware. One has come up in the manual focus mode.

Man, I just learned how to use the MF focus check, which zooms in 10x and can also be used while using OVF, sweet.

Nice!

I quite enjoy their fisheye - wouldn't mind a tilt/shift one day.
