Found this small bird in a marsh near my home.

After some more research, it appears that this is a female red-winged blackbird, the best studied and most abundant living bird in America. Could have fooled me.
Brown bird masquerading under a cloak of different colours? That is downright deceiving. Things, females can get away with.

Earlier I was in Markham and I did not bring my long lens. And the longest one was just a 135mm (Pentax FA135mm) And I got real close. And I mean it.

Thanks, glad you like the shots. Getting shots of birds in flight is quite challenging.

These shots were not in T.O. but near Tampa Florida. These birds happen to be on the resort grounds. I took my 70-200 mainly to take some action tennis shots. But found the opportunity to photograph birds that I normally don't see here in T.O.

So, I became an accidental bird photographer.
