So, the new Sigma 18-35 1.8 is apparently going to be priced at $799. Just when I decided not to spend any more money on lenses.

LumoPro LP180 flash review on Strobist. Actually looks like a great unit with some innovative features (1/4" mounting thread for example; great for umbrellas)

Zeiss blogs about their upcoming No compromises lenses. Sounds neat. I'm curious to learn about the wide angle they're planning for this series though I doubt it will be good enough for me to look past the MF only...

First of the no compromises lenses shows up, yet Chris might have to look past much more than just MF :)

A very impressive offering from Ricoh/Pentax is on its way. Read more details on some innovative tech.

Me either, Canon has many compelling offerings at much less than Zeiss while adding autofocus. This particular example is with an optical design that is 19 years older than the newly released Zeiss. Not bad at all eh? It will be great to see what Canon releases when this is refreshed! Their track record of quality as of late is near impeccable and the possibility of IS and even better AF will make it an even more compelling lens than the current offerings by anyone.

As of late they've corrected that. Although not enough.
