What: Toronto Islands with Snow
Where: Islands Ferry Terminal, at the bottom of Bay Street
When: Sat. Jan. 5 2012, 12:15pm (for the 12:30 ferry)
Bring: Camera, Tripod, Winter Clothing
Cost: Ferry Fare - $7.00 for adults, $4.50 for seniors)
Additional Info:

Looking at the current weather forecast, it appears that we should be able to keep this snow until next weekend, so let's try to shoot the Islands in winter while we have the opportunity. We tried this 3 times last winter, and never did get the snow, so I'm not waiting unitl later in the winter, although I might try it again. We will shoot around Ward's Island, then wander over towards the pier, and shoot sunset and the city skyline from Olympic Island before heading back to Ward's to catch the ferry back to the mainland.

Hey I represent your remark about only paying $4.50 for seniors.

Anyone know if the public bathrooms are open? I assume closed in winter. That means if The Rectory is closed (cuz sometimes it is)...well....then we're SOL...(pun intended).

In previous years, the washrooms at the fir station have been open. I believe there is an open washroom on Ward's Island as well.

So, this is not the best since I'm stuck with an old iMovie '08 and it doesn't seem to do a bunch of things I want it to:

Also, the battery ran out on the GoPro so I didn't get as much out of the end of the evening as I wanted. Spare batteries don't look that expensive, so I may do that for next time.
