With shows like this if there's even a hint of rain many will keep their baby's at home in the garage. This is why I asked, plus our drive out there. :)

I drove by today around 8:15 and the sky was getting dark. Id say we should be wrapped up by 9pm. After that and there is nothing in the sky but black.

I think we should be good as far as the weather goes. For those who are traveling some distance you could
always check the environment Canada satellite website for a last minute update and then decide.

If Ions is driving all the way here I'm sure there would room and time to join in the shoot?

On a separate note, someone asked about doing a similar shoot with motorcycles?
I have a number of contacts/family members, so if there is interest in a shoot with "Outlaw MC" members/bikes?

Should be a good time tonight.

I am operating with the understanding we are starting at 7:00 PM. I would love to join you guys for dinner, but I am still trying to lose weight and I don't think that the delicious looking items on the menu would help.

Due to my no show I wouldnt blame you if I got banned from TPMG. I was on a shoot in Cobourg that started at 11am and was supposed to be finished by 4. At that time the guy that got me there tells me he is not leaving and is staying to shoot after. There was no way I could get from Cobourg to Whitby. I finally hitched a ride with someone and got home just now driving through pounding rain. I cant apologize enough. Had I known the guy was going to do this I wouldnt have gone and stayed around for the 50s shoot. Petezee special apologies if you carried that ladder. At this point Im sort of hoping it was cancelled due to the rain, but Im not sure what time it started in Whitby. It was really coming down in Cobourg around 6pm but it didnt last long. Any money I owe I assure you I will mail the cash to whoever I owe it to. Just let me know who along with your mailing address. Again I apologize for the no show but things were just beyond my control.

Pete and Dileeps, great event. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for organizing and arranging the models. Pete your daughter did a super job and her outfit was spot on. Dileeps the young lady you arranged for to be our model was fantastic. Did we give you enough to cover the cost? I would love to have another go at this type of shoot. The idea of arranging a couple of cars for a morning when the restaurant isn't officially open like a Sunday would be great.

Speaking of cars Pete can you express to the owner and ask him to forward on to the many people who were so nice to us and allowed us access to their cars and the members in particular who stayed back and set up for the the quick night shoot in front of the dinner our sincere appreciation for their time and efforts. They were a great group of people and I don't think I hear anyone actually say no to us.

And Paul, I'm pretty sure we don't ban people at TPMG for missing an event due to circumstances. We were more worried than annoyed.

Thanks Peter and Dileep for organizing the event. I will try and post a couple of photos this weekend. Can't wait until part two on a Sunday morning takes place.

Paul, I'm glad your ok, we were getting worried. And don't worry about the banning - we'll give you a second chance ;)

In regards to cost we all just pitched in an extra $5 to cover the costs. So don't worry about it.

J.

Big thanks to dileeps and Pete! Would love to try this again on a Sunday. We hit rain on the way home so we wrapped up just in time.

Paul, glad you are ok!!

Thanks for your concern guys. But to be honest, Id sooner say I was in the hospital as my reason for no show rather than telling you I got screwed over by the driver. He knew I had the shoot and asked me if he could join in. When I said it was limited to the 6 or 7 he didnt say anything. But at 5pm he tells me he is staying in Cobourg for the evening. As for the day, it was a bust. Very hot, too many people and cars. The best part was sitting in a pub having a midday snack. But even then when I was taking shots of the billiard room the group came in and started playing pool. This resulted in my getting hit by the cue ball directly in my nether region by the driver. No. Not a particularly nice day. I hope you guys will post some shots. I went to Shake Rabble Roll with my kids one evening to scout it out and took the pics I posted earlier. I thought a lot about shooting angles and the ladder idea. Ive taken a lot of pics on my head of that shoot. Being there was all I wanted.

Glad to hear everyone had a great time. Sorry to hear that the Coburg thing was a bit of a bust.

I think the plan now is phase 2 for the shoot which would include the cars out front with lots of natural day light. (That was really the shot I wanted)
After that we could ask them to move onto the grass area for some individual shots.

-This would most likely take place on a Sunday morning in mid September? Any suggestions for the time? 9am or so?
-Do we need models for this? It should only take an hour or two max?

Thanks again for coming out. It was nice to meet all of you. Hope everyone got some decent shots?

Till next time. Cheers

Just post the photos someplace, like flickr, and then link them in this thread. Best to use the image tags. Please see this post on how to properly post images to the forum.

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=16193 You'll find a simple 'how to' on posting images here :) You're basically grabbing the BBCode and pasting it

You need to add the tags around the links [img]the%20link%20info[/img]

I'm meeting up with the organizer of the event next week to discuss the re-shoot for some time in September?
I was curious if the participants in the shoot have emailed any pics to the owners?
I'm having some stuff printed and will be dropping those off to John (owner) soon.
thanks

I'm hoping to do some proper processing on some photos this weekend and will email them out to the owners. Can't wait for the re-shoot!!
