Hi Guys,

Here is update on the model. Below model is available and lives close to Whitby. She will provide her own hair/makeup and bring One is polka dot and the other is a long black cocktail dress. We can book her for 3 hours or so.

http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/11 ... aa00a9.jpg

The cost works out to $20 per person. Are we planning to shoot between 18:00-21:00? or 17:00-20:00?

Please send me message or post here if you good and I'll book her. As payment, could we do email transfer or paypal ahead of time or cash in person?

Cheers,
Dileep

If there is a time preference Id like to be able to shoot in the sunset light as well as just a bit after so we can get the inside lights which would show better after sunset. Id be shooting for HDR. The model looks good. Im going to go to Shake, Rabble, Roll for supper tomorrow nite with my kids. I will talk with the owner and clear up a couple questions I have. If there is anything you want me to ask him while Im there let me know before 3pm tomorrow.

The owner is really nice guy. Very accommodating for our shoot and is looking forward to it. There will be a big car show there which will end at 8:00 pm. Draws will be made, prizes handed out and most will leave at that point. Here are a couple of shots I took today so you will know what to expect. I think 9:00-10:00 will be perfect time to shoot.

I stopped by as well yesterday. I think this is a really cool location and the model is easy on the eyes.
I will follow up with the car event organizer on getting a few of the cars to stay late.

I'm sure this will turn out to be a fantastic shoot.
In the event that we get rained out on the Sat. We can redo it on the monday, or following Saturday.

Cheers

I just took a look at Dileeps post regarding times. I agree with Bynx on getting that "after dark" shot with the interior lights on.
So do we go with 7-10 pm?

That sounds like a perfect time. There will be a lot of cars to shoot then when they are gone we have an hour or two for the vintage shoot with models. Just inside one of the doors is a poster of a drive-in vintage shot done at night. Thats the look I want to get. If anyone can bring a big ladder (the kind that stands up on their own), the bigger the better that would be great.

I have a ladder. In case I forget to bring it, I'm 5 min away.
is there any need for extra lights for the outside? Just curious.

John said he would put the outside lights off if needs be so they dont cause glare. We can play things by ear. He said he has a poodle skirt, fake burgers and shakes, and a tray that goes on the car door. Just like the good old days.

Because of the small amount I would prefer to pay the $20 in person when I arrive. For $20 the fees to do a transfer are just too much.

Just a quick update for those attending this event.
I know we all hope for great weather, but we should keep the Monday after as a back up?

I just spoke to the event organizer and he will make the rounds tonight to book some cars to stay a
bit later than normal. My understanding is that they will block off (cones) the front of SR&R so we can
move cars in at will.
A few owners may not want any contact with their particular car. ( some are worth 100K plus) so we will have
to deal with that as well.

8pm seems to be the direct sunlight cutoff. So we should also keep that in mind. I plan on arriving around 6pm
to get a bite to eat, and get the front secured with cones.

Is anyone else planning on arriving early?

Cheers

I think we have everything covered for Sat. So the weather is the wild card.
Monday will work as a backup date assuming everyone can make it if we get rained out.

As of now. "all systems go".....

Monday the 6th would be our backup if we get rained out, as the cars will be back on that date.

Hi all,
Yesh sent me a PM saying he's not available to go. I'm happy to join you :) If someone could add me to the list please. Just to confirm the cost is still $20 correct?

Hopefully they host another. I will be joining utsc tomorrow as I am her driver ;). I will wander off and shoot something else - I am not jumping the queue here. If the weather is off can we get a cancellation warning early enough so that we don't end up leaving Burlington only to arrive at a cancelled event? Chance of t-storms through the afternoon into the night according to forecasts now...
