That was my "Nikon Yellow" guesstimate. My Canon red is probably off too. I wasn't about to bust out the dropper tool for this. ;) I'll darken it though as it is a bit rough on the eyes.

Edit: Updated. Ok?

Wow! Thank you Gerardo! Fantastic! Other than Rockwell which I reluctantly included and took much restraint not to asterisk the links.

It hasn't been updated in quite some time, but Bjorn Rorslett has helpful comments on a lot of older Nikon lenses: http://www.naturfotograf.com/index2.html

His lens reviews have been rolled into a newer Nikon lens database at Nikon Gear: http://nikongear.com/live/index.php?/page/nikon_lenses

The V1 has too small of a sensor to be worthwhile. ;) This is what happens when a 'Canon' guy maintains the Nikon resource thread. :P

Rumor: Nikon to announce a repair advisory for the D800 left focusing issue.

Now Nikon D800 is in stock in Canada, but I am concerned about reported issues with AF. Thom Hogan has changed his review on D800 from "Recommended" to "Not recommended" due to AF issues.

If you have received your D800, what is your experience so far?

A good guide to quickly test your Nikon or DSLR camera for auto-focus issues, useful for testing the Nikon D800 / D800E Asymmetric Focus Issue.
On a related note I went this weekend around the city and tested the D800 vs the Hasselblad H4D-40, looking at the RAW files for both files and I am speechless. Opening the resulting images on CS6 APCR 7.1.0.354 I'll dare to say that SOC the raw files from the D800 are sharper :?

The Camera Store did the same comparison and disagrees. Although their results differ from yours they didn't have anything bad to say about the D800.

Some dude posts results from the forthcoming 800 f5.6. The images may be technically quite good but... wow... ummm if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all right? I'll give the shooter the benefit of doubt and assume his good stuff is under contract to someone...

Some more announcements from Nikon, an update to the J1 model - now its a J2 (but its only minor updates and a cheaper price). And they also introduced a new more compact zoom lens - 11 - 27.5 non-IS. Not sure where that lens fits considering already have a 10-30 IS.

Info can be found at www.dpreview.com
