Awesome day. Near perfect. The selected waterfalls were all great. The Waterdown Falls and the creek was very cool. That one alone could be an event all on its own! Thanks for organizing a super event Chris.

Were we boring you at dinner? :D

Yeah, definitely, I will set up a solitary Grindstone Creek event. I didn't do one previously because I wasn't sure others would appreciate the spot like I do. Some time in June with full foliage I think... Plus an "Advanced" waterfalls event sometime early summer.

I hope everyone had a good day and got the shots they wanted. It was a good time indeed. My apologies for Kimi's constant noise & movement. She is at least entertaining. You were all very understanding about the dog and I thank you for that. :)

Thanks Chris,

It was a lot of fun! Sorry about being grumpy and leaving early - the dog killed my ND Fader but my 24-70 still works. I know it was an accident and dogs will be dogs. :)
Ouch, I'm still sore but it was worth it!

Had a great day out with everyone. Thanks to Chris for organising, and to Daryl for the ride.

Still processing -- D80 up to its over-exposing tricks again, and still 10 shots or so to go on the second roll of film before developing those.

However, by request:

Here's one of my shots. I'm going to have to go back. Shot with an IR filter.

That's ok. Shit happens. I'll just remember to bring an extra ND filter next time I go!

The wife and I are heading to Hamilton to do some hiking and shoot waterfalls for the first time. I know there are tons of them in the area and reading through this post it seems like Websters and Waterdown are good ones to visit. Any other suggestions for decent falls to get some shots?

Thanks in advance!

Tews falls is the tallest, being just a bit shorter than Niagara Falls in height. If you can, get to the bottom for the shot. Also beside Tews falls is a hike along the trail to the overlook view, well worth the 15 walk.

Thanks Bynx. We did Tiffany Falls in the morning and the lower portion of that across the road and then went to visit Webster Falls and Tews Falls and did the Dundas lookout trail as you suggested. It was a beautiful hike indeed! Again, I appreciate the pointers!
