Details:

What: Holland Marsh Drive II
When: Saturday. September 17, 2011
Time: 10AM
Where: My House. Approx 2 minutes from intersection of Highway 9 at Highway 400. Exact address will be PM'd closer to the date. From there we'll do a drive.
Bring: Camera, Tripod, an interest in Tractors.
Food: Pondering La Mexicanada in Bradford, but need to confirm hours of operation. This place has real Mexican food (not Tex-Mex).

Following up on the success of the first attempt at this event (see http://tpmg.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17943), we are at it again.

Exact date to be confirmed. I'm listening for suggestions on the date.

Definitely interested, but it does depend on the date chosen.

away to italy Sept 24, but if this works out before that date, would be in. i have a car, can take three if all are willing to split the gas four ways! might be a good day to finally take the new Fuji x100 out of the box!

Now I'm not impressed. I've been thrown a mandatory commitment on September 17, so this day won't fly. How about a Sunday instead?

Ok, so here's the scenario. My friend, who's housewarming party I was supposed to go to saturday afternoon... Well he bbm'd me yesterday to say he cancelled it. I made it a point to lynch him.

My parents called me at work today, mentioning they have to drive to London on Sunday to deal with a farm issue (picking up a replacement migrant worker), so we won't be harvesting on sunday. Couple that with the fact that a majority of the farmers (my family in the minority) that won't work sundays.

And so you see the dilemma. Move the event (back) to saturday, or leave it sunday? If we leave it on sunday, I can't promse many action shots, like harvesting or tractors driving in fields etc.

Or postpone to mid late october.

Feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

Weather is not a factor. Both Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be sunny with Sunday being slightly warmer.

I can drive a tractor, if that helps. :-)

I'm ok either way.

Will there be harvesting on the Saturday if it is moved to then?

It sounds like not my family specifically, but I recall others have started. Can do shots from street.

Sunday wasn't great for me anyway. I would prefer to go this Saturday to get some working farmer shots. I'm in China in October.

That's great Chris - looks like it will be much nicer weather than in the spring. Most probably know where you are exactly, but I will need your details. Please PM me. Thanks

That was a very pleasant day of relaxed shooting - thanks for hosting, and the tour, Chris. The Mexican food was good too.
Now why is it that I'm still smelling onions?

Thanks for organizing and the great day. Mexican food was good and it was nice they had a choice of mild, medium and spicy to choose from.
