Hi guys I just wanted to know what you thought.

I have a 7D and because it's a 1.6 crop I want to get a fisheye accordingly. Canon is obviously out of the picture because thats for Full Frame. I have looked into the sigma 10mm 2.8 which works out to a 16mm fisheye. And they also have an 8mm Circular fisheye but its a 3.5. I have no experience with Circular fisheyes. How will those look on a 1.6 crop sensor? will the photos have harsh vignettes?
Also if anyone has another idea I'm open to that as well. dont want to limit my choice to just Sigma.
Thanks guys

nevermind I just looked the Sigma 8mm group on Flickr and it turns out on a crop sensor you still get the blackness in the corners. Not feeling it. So far its the 10mm 2.8 sigma. Any other suggestions?

there is always someone who complains when something is out of place on this forum, like an old woman staring out her window waiting for something to report.

This is like the drivers that cut me off then gives me the finger when I honk.

Huh? How can I be cut off if I was tailgating?

People just don't check their blindspot when changing lanes while talking on the phone, shaving, putting make up on and eating cereal in a bowl.

where's the forum police now to say this thread is off topic?

As to the fisheye, try renting a lens and try it out to see how it actually performs. a little vingetting might not be a deal breaker if you need the range of field.

ya I was under the impression it wasn't actually a fisheye but a wide zoom.

Who called for the forum police? I moved it to the gear area, just because ...... I CAN! No other reason :)

It isn't a fisheye, as pointed out above it is definitely just a wide zoom.
