Does anyone have any shooting location suggestions for shooting models nude/non nude? I know there are a lot of photo studios available to rent around the city but I am looking for more of an indoor location rather than a 'studio' look. I mean something like a room/barn/swimming pool etc etc. For example you can find a laundry mat on a good day when no one is around and shoot there. It makes a nice background. I am looking for other real sets in other words. Suggestions?
Thanks

what you're talking about is private properties. You should have permission of the owner. Just find a friend to loan out a nice location for you, or rent a hotel room to shoot in.

Also, some venues will require you to have liability insurance, so keep that in mind in case you don't have a policy.

Finding a free location to shoot during winter is tricky, I suggest doing the research now and trying out late spring, summer and early fall.

You really need to think about the safety/privacy of the model(s) especially if doing nudes; you should have permission to shot indoors at any private property in order to guarantee it; last thing you want while shooting is getting caught and charged with illegal trespassing.

I have shoot on a laundry mat and a restaurant, but in both occasions we had to pay and shoot really early, before they opened for service. Also I managed to shoot at a friend's swimming pool/ backyard and some other places by networking (model's friends. MUA's friends, etc)

Toronto has a couple of urban exploration teams, on their websites you may find info & listing related to abandoned buildings, accessibility and permits you may require
