Post a film shot utilizing a different film type, film ISO or film format then those that have been posted above before you. Please make sure you list the camera, format, Film and ISO of the shot.

As you're aware I am a digital newbie. I know digital capture creates noise where as in the film days it created grain. But when I look at the wall in your photo I see what looks like digital noise not grain. Yet these were taken with film.
Is that 'noise' a result of cross processing or does grainy area turn in to noise when scanned?

isn't noise = grain or rather the other way around?

Film grain is not noise, it is the film grain which forms the image. It's a hard concept to grasp if you come from digital. Each grain is like a pixel on a sensor only it's distribution is not on a grid. Different films, exposure and developing result in different textures. To top if off there is a noise component introduced by chemical ageing plus random cosmic radiation. Old higher ISO slide film that is cross processed can be particularly love it or hate it grainy.

If the photo counting police don't remove it here is an example of medium format shot with a Iso 160 version of the film, here I think you will agree the grain isn't the least bit unpleasant.

This slow speed film is my favourite film for cross processing.

question: So this thread can only allow one example per film type? Or is it that the next poster just has to post a different film from the one immediately prior?

Intent is to show the results from using different films so please wait for at least 2 pages before duplicating a combination.

Normal or cross-processed, pushed or pulled, format (35mm 120 ...) all count as different.

I searched but could not find the 2 times this was done in mist of TPMG time. Previously they were quite active threads.

Beautiful sharp lens. Has the camera been converted to take 120 film?

No, still just 620. This was with a respooled roll. I've been thinking about having Bald Mountain convert the loading side to 120 and then I'd just use my existing 620 spools for the take up side. It's much cheaper than a full conversion.

And yeah, the lens is my absolute fave.

Time to bump this thread. It's not often these days of digital that a new colour film is released by a major manufacturer.

Last month Kodak released a new Portra film to replace Portra 400 NC and VC with just straight Portra 400.
