Finally some sample shots from the new Sigma 85mm f1.4 EX DG HSM.
Not bad at all.

No kidding! This lens was announced back in fall 2009 and it's Sept '10 and still hasn't hit the shelves. It's available for pre-order from BH and supposedly hits the shelves sometime this month. Hopefully they delayed the release to perfect any focusing issues etc. I'm curious as to how it stacks up to the 85L. I find I miss some shots because the AF is slow on the 85L.

Hmm.. bokeh actually looks better (at f1.4) than those recent Nikon 85 G photos on Flickr :D :D :D

Sigma's 50/1.4 has been well-received, especially in comparison with the Nikkor 50/1.4G, so perhaps they will continue the trend with the 85/1.4...

They did not have them at the PMA. He promised that at the Henry's show they would be there. I would like to look at the newer 70-200 and the 85.

I have the 24-70 HSM and love that lens.

wish there's a side by side comparison of the 85 sigma and the 85 canon :) seems like a good alternative.
