Details:

What: Nikon Social
When: Monday August 9th 2010
Time: 7PM
Where: Tortilla Flats, Queen & Augusta Av.
Bring: Your Nikon Gear of course!!

Its time for another Nikon social -- its been quite a while! So here is your opportunity to come out and hang out with other Nikonites, bring your camera, lenses, and we will socialize, have some drinks, dinner, etc - and talk about all things Nikon!

edit: ok, so I decided ... we are going to Torilla Flats. Apparently Murphey's law is extremely unaccomodating. Such as tables can only remain in sets of 4, and can't move on the patio to make a long table, and they don't do reservations for larger groups, etc. Forget it... Tortilla Flats is a nice place, they have lots of room - hopefully its not too packed on a Friday night in the summer, and their menu is fairly ok. Service is not bad either.

DATE CHANGE -- I promise this is the last time

what do you define as a half-breed? Ya, I don't see an issue with that.

You can use Nikon lenses on a Canon body with an adapter -- but it will not work the opposite way around due to the focal distance of Canon lenses.

G lenses don't work either since they don't have an aperture ring.

May I suggest Vivoli's rooftop patio? Or Murphy's Law over by the beaches? Sorry I've been dying to get to a rooftop patio. =)

the July social will probably be at Murphey's law.... so maybe Vivoli's.

All level of gear is welcome! And one of the benefits is that you get to play with some of the bigger toys.

Don't go to Vivoli. Terrible service. Half our group ordered pizza, half ordered pasta. Those with pizza didn't get to eat for 45 minutes after the pasta came. 2 kitchens and no coordination.

Cadillac Lounge is always a good choice for both food and service and Murphy's Law is also awesome as it is right down the street from me :D

Ok, update the info - Tortilla Flats is the place. I'll give them a shout to see if we can make a reservation.

Hemingways in Yorkville is a great place - the rooftop patio is great - and while its been a couple of years since i've been there - I do recall its never been expensive - very reasonably priced!

Hey Julian, sounds good -- I am pretty sure that the patio is on the same level as the street -so accessibility shouldn't be an issue.
