Details:

What: June Social
When: Thursday June 24th 2010
Time: 7PM
Where: The Beacher Cafe, 2162 Queen Street East, at MacLean Avenue & Queen Street E.
Bring: Yourself! Camera optional as always.

For the month of June, and on the eve of the G20 summit in Toronto, I thought we'd take things out of the downtown core! Unless you like being stuck in traffic trying to navigate the road closures... no thanks! Personally, I might just park my car in the beaches, and take the TTC to work and back. Makes sense to me.

Anyhow... The Beacher Cafe is one of those iconic places in the Beaches, and has been an institution for many many years as I can remember growing up in the area. We have reserved space at the Cafe, hopefully if its a nice day - we can take advantage of the glass doors which open up onto the outdoor seating. The menu has a nice range of options which should meet most TPMG members. And the location is wheel chair accessible! - although the washrooms are not as easily accessible.
They are willing to do seperate bills for everyone, but for those of you like myself - just be warned that the pop drinks are not free refills.

good suggestion -- they have a rooftop patio? hmmm... I will have to give them a call. I did actually consider them for this social.

I'm going to be in Richmond Hill all day, but the social would be a good excuse to not return downtown until much later in the evening. ;)

I'm planning to come, but I'm going to be late. I need to go home & let my dog out before heading to the Beachers Cafe. Probably won't be there till 7:30-7:45pm, I'm sure you guys will hang out there for a while, right?

Catherine

I have told the restaurant that we'll have between 12 and 15 people coming. I guess if it gets unexpectedly larger, than we can just add anoher table on. thanks,

David

Thank you guys, had a good social! Good to see you all out at Beacher Cafe. And the walk to Ed's after was definitely worth it. Next month, we are hoping to locate a patio for the social.... Stay tuned for that!
