Okay while it pertains more to video vs photography, writeup of the Bandito Brothers involved in making a commercial for BMW, plus the use of the 5DMrkIIs.

I still don't get why people are using 5DmkIIs to shoot video when they can afford to shoot on proper professional film and digital cinema systems that can use proper cinema lenses..

Oh well, maybe I'll never understand...

There's now 2 companies that modify the 7D to take PL mount lenses. And if you follow the Zeiss link, you'll see that the ZE and ZF line is promoted for cinematography. The 5Dm2 sensor is actually too large for 35mm cinematic lenses.

It's cheaper to replace an accidentally broken DSLR than an expensive pro series vid cam.

The lenses are much more expensive than a DSLR. Panavision has actually stopped renting out just the lenses, and now require you to rent one of their film bodies as well.... guess why.

i don't like the video that much but the setup is neat. Love the lone nikon out front hah.
