This year I got a media press pass on Thursday for autoshow, here are my pics. I'm sure there are some TPMGer there since I saw a guy with the orange tag :)

How did you manage to get a media/press pass?
I have gone to the auto show the past two years, but I'm not sure if I'm going to bother this year. It doesn't look like much has changed.

My friend got media invitation for her magazine every year, so she registered me for the media pass. I do enjoy shooting that day.

I could only imagine how much easier it is to shoot in comparison to a day where anyone is welcome.

I took a look at your entire set, nice pictures and lucky with getting the media pass for Thursday.

I went there on Friday to take pictures and I have no clue how to do car photography. I don't feel like making separate threads so I guess we can all post autoshow pics here:

(At the end of the day I found that I'm not really into car photography)

I went to the Autoshow on Wednesday. It was my first time there and first attempt at automobile photography. Found out that it's not exactly my cup of tea.

I don't know why I keep on going to the show when I know it's not all that great, and in fact it keeps on sucking even worse each year.

I finally broke the habit this year by not going. Although i really wanted to test out my new 24-70 in there, it just wasn't worth it to put up with the lines and hassle to see the same stuff.

u may want to try automobile photography in a place where there's no crowd...

I stopped going 2 yrs ago. If there is something that really interests me, I'll just go to the 401 / Dixie automall during a weekday.

u may want to try automobile photography in a place where there's no crowd...


or go cheesecake and get a model in a bikini to pose in or on the car.

lol.. I agree. It was a bit too crowded. Would prefer to do it with less people. And maybe next time I'll take pictures of the models instead;)

I took a few last Wed. I looked through my shots and though most looked boring. Found a few that were okay so I figured I'd muck around in PS. I think I'll leave shooting cars for the pros 'cause it's not my forte.

Nice redhead but the lighting on the model is horrible, not too flattering.
