Query anyone interested in some darkroom workshops?

Just a feeler to find out if there any interest in a beginner's workshop on black and white film development and a beginner's B&W wet printing workshop.

Update first developing workshop Mar 23, Tue 7pm (see adhoc section)

An art gallery on queen east has offered the use of their basement darkroom.

The film development workshop will be how to develop roll film in small 1 or 2 roll plastic and steel tanks so that the participants can see; take the knowledge and do their own development at home.

The printing workshop will demonstrate how to make a print from a 35mm negative. As this is a beginners workshop the instructor won't be anyone famous just someone that has being making and selling darkroom prints for over 15 years, actually I have 2 people in mind and will accept volunteers. :?:

As this is only a feeler not a sign up sheet I'm being purposely vague.

I'd be interested in the developing one as well, I've restarted shooting 120 B&W and this would save me some $ and time.

120 or 35mm it doesn't really matter, know one you know the other. Sheet film is another matter.

The place is still working on the darkroom setup it's not dust free enough so I may have to split up the developing from the printing.

I will all be revealed when they (I hope) finish the space. In the mean time it might be possible to do a film development demonstration for a few people at a time.

If anyone has a condo party room or a rec room with a sink they would like to donate I'm all for starting tomorrow. My place might fit 2 people comfortably in the bathroom or maybe 4 people including myself in the kitchen not enough to go ahead with the film development part. The good thing is that it's not so difficult or time consuming lots of time left over for tea and biscuits.

My place is no good. Much much too small.

Yes as long as the gallery cleans up the "darkroom" enough to use it.

It's more serious then that the walls have to be sealed or it would be too dusty and some of the electricals are suspect
