Hi all,

For those that had an interest from my other thread asking for group buy on the grip and battery; here's what I had obtained for price list:

Canon LP-E6 (for both 5DMKII and 7D): $95
Canon LP-E1 (1DMKIII and IV) $190
Canon BG-E7 (7D): $205
Canon BG-E6 (5DMKII): $310
Canon 430EX II: $295
Canon 580EX II: $490

I'm just throwing this out there, some might find the price to be attractive some may not. For this group buy to work we need at least 5 items from any of the above listed products.

Once again, sorry for the Nikon users, you are up next if this group buy goes successful.

Thanks for setting this up, poopooegg. Just a question for now - are there any additional charges in these prices (eg. shipping, taxes, duties) that are factored in, or do we need to account for those as well?

To the best of my knowledge it includes shipping only. From my test purchase, I did not pay any duty and taxes, just shipping.

My test purchase included tripod, battery and grip.

Are these genuine Canon products? That's a good price on the LP-E6 since Vistek sells them for $119.95 but I'll be dropping by B&H this weekend and picking one up.

By the way - why not include tripods in this purchase. Maybe it will get more interested people to help fill the numbers?

People likes different tripods and I only have access to certain brands and models. If anyone is interested in tripods (Manfrotto/Gitzo) feel free to PM me and I'll check the price for you. :)

Yeap, this is the cheapest I've seen. I'm in.

1. flyguy - 1 - LP-E6
2. ldam - 1 - bg-e6
3. zone555 - 1 - BG-E7
4.
5.

Dumb question.. the battery grip will work with 1 battery right? I rarely run out of power and would rather save money and weight.

Ok, nothing to worry about.. it works with 1 battery, as per review on TDP, http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-BG-E7-Battery-Grip-Review.aspx

Quote:
Even if you only have one LP-E6 battery, the BG-E7 still functions fine.

There is a problem if you one day decide to use 2 batteries and one is older or a different capacity/manufacturer as the weaker battery can cause the overall capacity to drop tremendously. So if the batteries are not matched you should only use one at a time.

A supplier in Hong Kong they are affiliated with Maxsaver but they can't tell me the name for local competition purposes. But rest assure the products are genuine :)

here is the test purchase I did if you haven't seen it:

Wow that's an awesome price on the flashes.

430EX II is $334 + tax at DT Camera, and that's after $30 off.
580EX II is $547 + tax at DT Camera, with $60 off.

I'll decide closer to the deadline.
To be honest with you guys, I'm trying my hardest to not spend more money... but i'm weak!

If our order was to be delivered before Feb4th(vacation), then I'd be signed up for sure.

If you still need just one more guy in the end. I'll do it.

Just a quick question. For the 430EX II for $295. How much would you estimate the final price, after shipping, to be.
