Does anyone or has anyone owned this camera before?

I'm considering buying one to play around with but I've heard that it can have some problems with the shutter and also the fact that it takes some weird batteries. I was wondering if anyone has used one before and if its worth the trouble of finding/getting the batteries (I'm unsure as to availability) and other possible pitfalls with the camera...

Go back to the thred again I posted a bit mor info showing that you may not need the adapter. Actually I read your thread and felt my responce need a thread of its own to provide a wider scope.
