Nah .. the hourly weather network report says it will clear up and will be variable cloudiness.

I wouldn't trust it that much, just look up North, I see another thunderstorm on the way right now from the lakefront area

Hey guys, sounds like we're having some crazy weather... I am not sure if we want to continue with this one. I am watching CP24 as we speak.

The good news is that my car is ready, and I'll be heading to Toronto soon to pick it up. If the outing does go ahead, I'll join you later, but at the moment, it doesn't look good.

CP24 is saying that its supposed to clear up in the next hour or two.... hmm

well, it looks like we're lucky for the beginning, but still might get pretty crazy afterwards, there's major cloud build-up, but looks ok for now. I think we can give it a shot

Yeah it's really really overcast and it looks like it's going to start raining any second, so I don't think I'm going to make it out this time unfortunately. My slow glass won't fare well in this lighting at all.
Hope you guys have a great time though!

Wow! What a turn out! 20+ people! We lost a few a long the way but most of you turned up at Dundas Square to go eat afterwards. Duke of Richmond is always a great place for such a big group of people! Food was great.. definitely needed that energy boost after such a long walk. Thanks for coming out everyone and thanks for organizing Maureen and David!

Yep. Good food. Fine weather (except maybe for the humidity). Good company.

A photo from today:

Hey guys, hope you all enjoyed the outing! Sorry I couldn't join for part 1, but I was at least there for the food part. Thanks Maureen for taking the lead in my absence.

Hey everyone, had a great time tonight and really had lots of fun shooting with all of you. Got some stuff I'm fairly happy with and plan on making a few prints at the gallery tomorrow. Looking forward to doing it again soon.

What's the parking situation like? Any public parking around or just park on the street?

I was planning on parking at Chinatown (underground parking I guess), but with the threat of weather, I might look for a green P further west... hopefully half-way.

That's funny... I thought I posted this before I left.

Turns out, Chinatown would have been the better choice :P
Sorry about leaving Thomas and Manda behind. If we had known you were newbies, we wouldn't have taken off like that.

Turning some film in tonight. It will be a couple of days 'til we see the results.

Sorry for leaving you Thomas and Ananda behind, it was a nice walk, hopefully you guys weren't put off by this, and we'll see you again

Thomas, can you give me the name of your gallery again? I am curious about these resin finish prints, I may want to try it out one day :D and thanks for some field tips.
my pics will be coming later on

I really enjoyed my first time out with tpmg. Great group of people who are willing to take the time to give tips and tricks. Sorry I couldn't stay for the meeting afterwards.

yeah, i made it out... i kind of got sidetracked in chinatown. I was with the first group - when they kept moving past Spadina I just wasn't ready. :)

Ossington & Dundas:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mospin/3813824470/" title="in love ... ? by mospin, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2434/3813824470_12a814037f.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="in love ... ?"></a>

and my poorly executed warning shot:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mospin/3813826134/" title="warning: guard dog by mospin, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3456/3813826134_af6224196a.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="warning: guard dog"></a>
I should've dialed back my aperture (I was shooting wide open). By the time I realized this the dog was gone. (the dog does however create a little black bokeh in the background)

You mean one of these?

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/3816375912/" title="Checking the shot by ofermod, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2561/3816375912_8a08093e18.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="Checking the shot"></a>

... so now we have the other one we lost.

$3 same day processing and scan at SDM is definitiely worth doing again... even though the B+W scans turned out a little funky, and all of the file dates are out of order :S

Here is part of the set so far: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ofermod/se ... 024285642/
The rest is still in-camera.
