I am thinking about going to Bruce peninsular or Georgia Bay for a short photo trip in late May or early June. One man’s photo vacation. Landscape, mainly sunrise/sunset. Just for fun.
Any experienced photogs would like to share their experiences with me regarding planning, like where to stay, where to eat, where to shoot, what to watch out for, what equipment to take, any safety concerns, etc? Anything missed in the list? I prefer hotel, B&B to motel or camping. No off road areas please (huh? Yes, not driving a 4x4, AWD or something alike)
If anyone could share their photos with GPS coordinates, it would be great!
Thanks in advance.

hey, after 20+ years of boinking around crags and cliffs exclusively, i sense a fresh breeze in your "susnset-from-the-road" constraint 8) what if i missed an entire world of just-like-nowhere-else motels and strip towns??? i'll be watching this thread for suggestions!

in the unlikely case you do fall off the road--mosquitoes and black flies, an occasional teddy bear on wheels... seriously, muskol, long sleeves and head nets, part of the landscape deal there. mountain-grade hiking boots, too. the sunrise side is more dramatic than the sunset side: get up a.a.m. and hike the bruce from the tobermory cairn as far south as you can, then hop over to the other side for sunsets

dorcas bay has a nice little beach, if you want to chill out p.m. one day, but the insane development over the past decade all but ruined it for photography :( black creek pp may have some sunset views and then, there's oliphant--depending on water levels, very atmospheric

don't drive around too much, walk. slow down and soak it in, it's peace country, it grows on you

ps. how about a yurt?! koooool! 8) http://www.pc.gc.ca/eng/pn-np/on/bruce/ ... tiv2d.aspx
