Where do you get your photo albums printed? Have you tried Blurb via Lightroom? Any good?

I have used Apple and Snapfish. Apple's photo album quality is very good but I need to move my photos from Lightroom to iPhoto. And I can only have albums shipped to me, not to my relatives directly from Apple. So not very convenient. I am not satisfied with Snapfish's album - B&W prints have dark blue tint.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.
Victor

You are asking about photobooks, right?

I've used Blurb via Lightroom. Real easy. Two things I discovered:

1. You are very constrained in your placement and size (number of words/font size) of captions.

2. If you enlarge, or crop then print big, your images, do not trust Blurb's "too large/poor quality" warnings. Their standards for "poor quality" is too low, in my opinion. You need to stop way before you get the "too large/poor quality" warning.

Yes, photo books. I heard Shutterfly receive good reviews for its photo books.

I believe Blurb ships from within Canada. Shutterfly does not. Shutterfly = higher shipping, higher tax, possible duties.

I've used Blurb Canada, though by composing the books using their application "BookSmart." I've had no complaints about the quality, in fact I've just published my fourth "Yearbook" through them, but a co-worker had some odd smearing in large prints that had large dark areas in them, despite giving them several shots at reprinting.
