Anyone know any good abandoned buildings to hit up in Toronto?
If I have to accidentally find myself on the other side of a fence or open window, so be it.

I know how to use Google.
Was hoping members could help weed out the chafe, especially the locations that no longer exist, which is nearly 100% of the listings on both of the popular websites. That'd be a real time saver alone.

Your best bet would be on the uer.ca forums then.

You want people to do the work for you. Sometimes that's fair enough and in a slightly twisted way the purpose of a discussion board. Problem here is Urbex is like Fight Club. You don't talk about it with the normals. You already answered why it is this way - many of the locations that are high up in the search results are already gone. Why? Cause they were easy to find by many which focused attention to them which accelerates the process of their destruction.

I would imagine :) that entering most abandon buildings is trespassing on private property so I doubt that many would be stupid enough to advertise their illegal activities in an open forum. Why don't you join an urbanX group or 2, that's usually the easiest way to find out about the places you are seeking.

Yeah! UER.ca even has monthly meetups at liberty village, anyone is welcome to join.

I know that there are a group of Toronto rooftop photographers that you might want to check out and see what buildings they hit up.

... which are generally not abandoned. It's still urbex, but not quite what the OP was asking for. The legal consequences of accessing such sites versus more traditional abandonements are very different.
