Came across this today and was blown away. This takes water droplet images to a whole new level. Would love to see how he creates this and the amount of HOURS I'm sure this takes to perfect.

For the whole set

Going through this shooter's photo stream is an interesting ride. Beyond the flat sections of paid work of ... certain quality are many amazing shots like the one posted above. How many of them were done is beyond me. Neat stuff!

It is very cool. Now why can't I come up with a unique idea like that!

You're held back by your gear, you need to minimize! ;)

I think you are over complicating things the whole idea of photography came out of the need to capture an image over a short period of time. :D

His work is derived from simple techniques used for the advertising industry which in this case just happens to be his day job. The artistic part was extending those techniques and spending what most have been many many hours experimenting with different jets and liquids. He was using his artist vision to capture his unigue images.

Here's an interesting one that doesn't even need a flash.

I forget who as there has been so many similar sayings but somebody said: "you have to put in the hours and sweat before you can create something new"

Talk about scifi fluid art http://vanitypolygon.com/site/2012/03/0 ... rrofluids/

When I first got my DSLR I spent an afternoon to create this shot with one light no flash, not very spectacular I know but I didn't put in the time.

BTW no post processing tricks were used (at the time I didn't even have the tools)

Hard to imagine but he says no Photoshop. So is paint being dropped/sprayed onto the table? I guess you would need programmable spraying equipment, sort of like how modern fireworks shows work. Just a guess, I could be totally wrong.

He calls it "Fluid suspension" so maybe my term of "Water droplet" doesn't quite cut it? I'm thinking it's a special table that the liquid is being shot out from? then then gravity is creating the curves downward? Doesn't look to me like anything is being bounced off the table...

I do think the unknown is part of the magic of the image tho.

And I agree Jordan!! Why can't I come up with something awesome like that lol
