Toronto Photography Meetup Group

Does anyone know of any good, accessible locations for sunrise and/or sunset near Bancroft? I have TPE, but that doesn't show me the foreground, and whether or not a location is accessible (ie. not on private property).

For what time of year? This time of year with snow conditions - you are sometimes lucky to see the sun some days.

I am going up this weekend, but suggestions for other times of year would be useful as well, for future reference. I do realize we may not get the sun coming up, but would like suggestions in the hopes that it does.

hmm... The only places I really know around Bancroft are in the Silent Lake provincial park. If memory serves me correctly .. sunrise was not bad from the lake at the beach there - but winter access is probably limited to day permits -and it would be a heck of a walk from the park office, because winter access is snowmobile.
