There should be a setting on the camera; either a on the dial or in the menu. It looks like a little box with a mountain in it. That should be your best bet.

When it gets dark, you should probably switch it to the box with the moon picture, that's for nighttime. It could get tricky as to when you should switch the setting, I would go online and google to find out when sunset is, or use a program called Photographers Ephemeris; It's great at telling you when it's going to get dark.

If this is something you don't know, you shouldn't be doing wedding photography.

Photographers have been sued for not producing expert results, and if you don't know how to adjust the exposure on your camera, you're not ready.

I'm not saying this to be mean or elitist, there was a post here recently where one was sued for $300,000. With wedding photographry you have to know what you're doing, and have insurance to protect yourself.

If Canon/Nikon/Sony sold a camera with a "Wedding" setting on the mode dial, it would sell like hotcakes.

This setting would automatically add effects like backlighting, off-camera flash, epic flare, and auto-vintage.
