Just returned from Africa and one of my 5DIIs is dead. I have a wedding coming up this Saturday and I'll need to rent a camera.
What's the cheapest place in Toronto. Henrys charges about $175 per day. That's insane! I can rent a Ferrari for that price for a day!!!

Any other places in Toronto(hopefully north of 401) that have better prices?

sorry to hear that!

but, did u say "ONE of my 5DIIs is dead", so u still have other 5DIIs, right?

$175 for a day rental of a Ferrari? is that a real car and they give u the key so u can drive it anywhere!! or they just give u a RC car for u to play with :P

I'm on TPMG way too much

Vistek is $175 for the weekend (3:30 PM Friday to 10:30 AM Monday) for the Canon 5D Mk II. I have rented a few times from Vistek and have been satisfied with the product and the service. You might have difficulty with needing this at the last minute through.

I don't qualify for "GOLD" membership which requires me to have 3L lenses. I am just an amateur with 2 lenses. 3 would've made me a pro,but I am just not there yet. One day when I'll grow up, I'll buy another L lens and become a pro,and start getting some respect from Canon!! One day....ONE DAY!!!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll be ok.


FIY, I have error30 on my camera. That's shutter I believe. I am pretty sure I had about 150K-200K on that camera as I had it since 2008.

New shutter is about $300 with taxes.

Found a 5D mark II for rent for $125 per day. Looks like a bunch of other goodies for rent as well.
