Here is a neat idea. It looks like fireflies swarms make for interesting photos.

Thats really cool, I wonder why they show up as dots, do fireflies stay in one spot for a while? Maybe they light and dim over and over, I dunno, interesting though.

Based on the pictures it looks like some of them maybe be several frames comped on top of each other for the dotted images.
If you look at some of the others they are blurred streaks.

Plus some of the dotted ones are shot at 1.4 high iso and fast shutters.
