Does the price of the lenses go up proportionally to the size of the red ring on the lenses? lol

Brings up an interesting point about motion picture equipment and still picture equipment.

Everyone rents in the movie business no one buys a camera and the lenses.

Not so in the still picture business, well maybe lens rentals but hardly anyone rents still picture camera bodies...

Not owning a video camera or even using the video capture on my phone, my personal reaction is this.

Is it because that you tend to take more stills, anywhere, anytime, on-the-go, unlike a video camera, you need a storyboard?
