Heading to the forest this weekend, and just heard that Algonquin colour report is 80-89% change. Looks like prime time is here, looking forward to it.

I am going to Bancroft this weekend. According to Susan, the colour is pretty well advanced there as well. We may get up into Algonquin as well - not sure of the exact plan.

I will be at Miner's Bay this weekend, and the colors are at 40% so next weekend will be good there . The white water just north of Minden should look good as well .

I'm in Algonquin and the colour is peaking on the west side (west of Two Rivers) big time. Should hit peak by Monday or Tuesday on the west side. The east side is a few days away. Moose are on the move. If we get the rain forecast for the end of the week a lot of the leaves will come down.

Yep, was kind of weird. Along the Highway the West end of the park is fantastic with close to 100% change with reds predominant. But when you hike along a trail, all the leaves and canopy were mostly yellows, so it looks like the reds really are on the areas where the frost hit. (ie, tops of the trees and exposed areas like along the highway). Also, as soon as you hit east of the "Lookout" Trail and by the time you hit the visitor's center, it was almost 100% green with very little change.
Looks like this is an early season hit to get us started and that there will continue to be lots more through the fall!

Haliburton Forest was good too.... Was there this weekend, and in some areas it was almost peak, and in other lowlands more like 60%. Haliburton peak looks like it coming in the next week.

I hope it doesn't rain. Last year just overshot the peak by a few days and then they had a lot of strong wind 2-3 days before I went up, with a significant amount of leaf loss. I really have book this time off next year :(

It was windy today and is currently raining and expected to rain overnight into tomorrow. More rain is forecast for the rest of the week. The west side peaked on Sunday and the east is peaking today or tomorrow.

The leaves are falling fast.

Thanks Darryl, thats what I pretty much figured would happen. Peak will probably be coming very shortly in Haliburton.
