Would be good news if it was a stand alone app, but unless I missed something , you would need a subscription. Everyone is getting into this game.

Import as many photos as you want and view them on all your iPads, iPhones, and Macs. Subscribe now for the introductory price of US$59.99 a year or US$5.99 a month. Offer expires January 31, 2012."

With the cloud, this seems to be the norm. Plus now a days every organization is looking into "recurring revenue", wether it be a commercial business or charity. The slogan seem to be "for as little as pennies for a day..."

LR/photoshop is one of the most pirated programs around...charging a subscription might be a way around putting the app out there to be downloaded and pirated?
Yeah, I'm just pretending to know something about this
