Just got an email about this. Hands on Studio Equipment workshop tomorrow. I don't have any affiliation to this but thought I'd share if anyone was interested. Apparently there is no cost for this workshop but there are only a few spots left.

It was clogging my emails arteries up as well. Removed them. They do appear to do stuff pretty regularly if you can handle all the spamming that goes with joining.

I agree. Like I said I'm just passing along information in case anyone was interested. Don't shoot the messenger :) Once in a while meetup.com does have some worthwhile events but they are far and few between and I find most are profit oriented which I disagree with.
