Hey I need to rent a Canon 300mm 2.8 and I'm wondering where is the best/cheapest place to do so. I saw that Vistek has it for $75 for a single day and I'm not sure if I will have it back in time or not.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Whitby as well. so anything on the east end of the city would also be helpful.

You can rent from Headshots and have them arrange for pickup and drop off at your nearest Henry's. Headshots is part of the Henry's empire.

CANON EF 300MM F2.8L IS USM - $70/day.

Lots of options if you want slightly longer periods that will ship to you such as:

I rented from Headshots for the first time this past weekend and it was a pleasant experience. The location of Dundas and Carlaw is pretty easterly too.

I've rented a couple of times from Headshots too and I'm very happy so far. If you want them to ship to a certain location for pickup, you might want to book a few days in advance. My usual arrangement with them is to pick up at their main location at Dundas and Carlaw and then drop it off at their the nearest Henry's to me once I'm done. Hope that helps.

Lens Rentals Canada is another option too but they tend to start at 4 day rentals and their lenses are shipped as they are in Owen Sound.

thanks everyone for the advice. I ended up going with Headshots and driving down to pick it up cause I found out a day in advance that I was shooting on Friday and that isn't enough lead time to get it shipped out to a Henry's store.

but now I know for future reference.
