Well, i upgraded to CS5 and i have this weird problem.

When i "save as" JPG, it looks like the image i worked on (using Spyder color calibrated profile). However, when i "save for web" in sRGB, it looks super saturated. Is there any way to make this consistent and keep my color calibration settings?

Ive been searching online and it hasnt solved my problem yet.

Congrats on the upgrade. I still have to do mine.

Double check your colorspace in jpeg you still might be in your 16 bit colorspace and haven't converted to sRGB. Used to do that a lot before I did an action. You may not be aware but saving as web strips your exif except creator data.

2 possibles scenarios:

1- when saving for web, make sure the "embed color profile" is selected.
2- Web browsers ie Firefox, IE 7/8 tend to yield overly saturated images on a calibrated monitor, I had the same issue before, but again it depends of the type of monitor.

Thanks for the replies! Hope it works.

when you save for web there is a whole color management section on the right where you can choose several settings, I still have no idea what most of those do, but embedding the colour profile is a good start :D

colour profiles are only important in print, embedding a colour profile for your web stuff doesn't ensure anything, monitors are not calibrated the same.

about web color management

but:

why maybe isn't that good idea

Therefore:
[quote]I WILL QUALIFY my general recommendation about embedding profiles in pixel-based Web images for the following reasons:

1) You are posting technical or fine-art images
