Im running out of ideas to name folders. Especially ones that are final versions of photos that exist in another folder. I'm using words like Done, Finished, Final, and Stuff I Like, Stuff printed, Printed at Blacks...etc..I need new name suggestions. What do u name your folders?

I use tags and colored buttons with ACR to identify what stage the processing is. I name the folders for the particular area or shoot. There's only one folder that's important to me, Portfolio with the original RAW file TIFFS, PSD and JPEG.

January 2010, February 2010, March 2010... etc then tags... kinda when I get to them :oops:

My structure is something like this

I do league photos and my structure for them is as follows
\CXBL\2010\event 2\sudbury\import (has my raw files)
\CXBL\2010\event 2\sudbury\to print
\CXBL\2010\event 2\sudbury\to Facebook
\CXBL\2010\event 2\Brockville\to web

Or for non event\tournament stuff

\portrait\2010\Anderson\import
\portrait\2010\Anderson\approved
\portrait\2010\Anderson\approved\to print
\portrait\2010\Anderson\approved\to web

Personal work

\personal\2010\August\17\corvette weekend\import
\personal\2010\August\17\corvette weekend\to web



I use lightroom 3 so for work I am editing and working on I use collections

\Month_year\Event

If print or edit, the new folder goes into the same ones:

\Month_year\Event\Edits
\Month_year\Event\prints

I still sort everything...so, whatever photos are in the Event, I keep them all. The rejected ones are deleted the same day after download.
