LOL, not me! I dread a story like that about me one day.

Two tickets? OK, walking on a controlled access highway, fine. But failing to keep left on the highway? Isn't that overkill, since he wasn't supposed to be there anyways and got ticketed for that?

Yeah, I laughed at the "failing to keep left" charge, haha! It reminds me of the story of a nude cyclist who was arrested for not wearing a helmet.

Off topic, I thought over 18 helmets are voluntary.

Oops, apparently it was a motorcyclist, not a bicyclist:

So far we have the word of the police and the Toronto Sun, neither of which are credible sources. He could have been in a perfectly safe place to be to take pictures.

Thousands of Tamils flood the Gardiner Expressway with people, women and baby carriages in 2009. Not one arrest. Something wrong with this picture.

One year later, one photographer goes on the Gardiner and gets busted.
Make note - flood the expressway with hundreds of photographers, get the best pictures in town - arrest free. Nothing will be wrong with that picture.

Are we up for it?

It means that if he stayed to the left, he would of received only one ticket!

That's a group of idiots! That ship should never of docked in Canada. Now we have more of those idiots that will flood the Gardiner! Plus they all stayed to the left!

nope. you're supposed to walk on the left side of the road to be able to see the incoming traffic.

But that would mean he'd be walking in the middle of the highway cos there is a barrier on the gardiner!

Unless they mean he had to walk in the opposite direction to the traffic?

I want to see his photos. Anyone know if he has a flickr page? I'm wondering if the shots were worth the risk and price.

As is I doubt it.

I'm not a cop but I do play one on the internet. I can't find any references to "failing to keep left of roadway" so must be a typo on the part of the Sun.

Except I think that's generally supposed to apply to an undivided roadway. Don't know how it works for a divided highway like the Gardiner.

I think the cops are just throwing the book at him and hoping enough of it sticks. Too bad that they can't craft a functional law around being stupid.

why not? the divider is not too high to jump over and if you don't get killed trying to cross on the other side you'll avoid getting a (second) ticket. :P

But it's such a solid resource! And we've already condemned this fellow to stupidity...
