Hey,
I have a Canon 7D and was shooting HD video at the G20 demonstrations yesterday.. I want to get the footage online asap but the files are massive and take too long to upload. The camera doesn't seem to have come with video editing software for mac and iMovie won't open .mov files. Anyone know of free mac compatible software that I could use to compress/resize files? (That is possible, right? I'm not at all familiar with video..)

Thanks!!

if you have final cut pro or imovie, they should come with compressor software that does what you want. (not too sure about iMovie's output options, though)

You could use MediaCoder (http://www.mediacoderhq.com/download.htm) and it supports Windows, Linux and Mac. I have used it on Windows with no issues and best of all - it is free!
