My photo, "Yesterday's Models" has been nominated in the top-three in
TVO's PhotographyMonth contest. The grand prize is a really nice

The plastic one is too posed. If it's that posed, I'd have wanted more saturation and more 'plasticky' colors to come out instead of that washed out color.

The Tribes lack context.

So far, yours is pretty much the only one that seem to make sense with the title.

Thanks for voting, folks!

The prize pack is a Canon G11 camera with a bunch of accessories (bag, memory card, etc) ... I'm psyched!

I'm honoured enough to make the top-three to be honest, one of the three judges who picked it from the submissions is Ed Burtynsky, who is basically a photo-god to me!

I think I have a really good chance. We'll have to see!

Funny, I actually preferred the plastic one, this one doesn't work for me for some reason

I'd prefer the plastic one if it had the changes I suggested. As it is now, it seems unfinished compared to the title, because it isn't plasticky enough.

I appreciate it folks! I will make one last plea for votes over the weekend (a last push!) and then we'll just have to se what happens on Monday.

FYI it seems to allow multiple votes although I have no idea if TVO's tech people are smart enough to exclude multiple votes from the same computer. This could be an issue if either of the other two have some kind of vote-farming going on. Not that likely, though. It's not a high-profile contest.

Ultimately I feel my photo really is the best of the three so I should win - I was actually quite surprised looking at how many (most) of the hundreds of entries had little or nothing to do with the contest's theme. People were submitting photos of their kids, flowers, fish, vacation shots... just about anything.
