I spotted this guy with a rather elaborate setup when I was in Paris. I have to admit I've never seen a camera like this before, would someone please be so kind to explain to me what's going on here? What kind of equipment is this?

yeah, 4x5 field camera. Looks like an Ebony. He's got some front rise and lots of front tilt (to the rear).
