Hummm, one story is from April 15 of this year, the other as from 2009. Similar tripods and ballheads? Same bear? Both occurred in Alaska? Coincidence? Ya think someone recycled the story?

Could be the same bear making this into a habit? :D He built the skill of spotting quality tripod and ball head :D Back in the den there must be a pile of tripods :D

Ouch!!

I'll be heading to Churchill later this year. I'll remember to forgo bringing a gitzo...unless that's an Alaskan thang.

Or maybe I'll go to an Alaskan polar bear garage sale and pick up a cheap Gitzo.
