My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. Mods, feel free to move this to the appropriate area.

I'm looking for a good place to have business cards printed. I have looked at some online places and some local print shops here in Toronto, but have not found one that uses really heavy card stock.

I have looked at VistaPrint and Print100 as online solutions and a local print shop on Spadina (digi Print & Copy)

The heaviest I found was somewhere in the 14 to 16 pt, which I think is quite standard. I would like something a bit thicker and heavier.

Looking for recommendations.

Thanks

Stay away from green printer online.
Horrible customer service and the owners don't give a crap.

If you are looking for something heavier you will probably have to go to a printer that does offset printing. There are many papers that are available heavier than 16pt. I know I have stock up to 24pt. Two papers to look at would be Carolina or Cougar. Carolina is a coated sheet while Cougar is uncoated.

If you are located downtown there are many printers that can assist you. PM me if you want some good ones.

Have a look here:

They say that they are willing to print out as many as 5k business cards for under 5 bucks. I don't think you can find a cheaper place to have them printed. I heard one guy paid 150 bucks for the same amount

I'm gonna move this to photography in general just cause it seems slightly more appropriate.

I have had BussCard printed for both my business at carderizer.com
they specialize in heavy cardstock, silk finishes, 16pt stock, embossed, UV spotting, round corners and even clear cards.
Not cheap and not the fastest, but I like their stock and finishes very much.
