I don't think this is the end of photography, far from it, but rather another form of media, and useful in certain aspects.

I saw this before and thought it was immaculate. As one of the commentators posted, it's the artistic idea that matters in the end, not the methodology or tools used to extract the result.

For some that stick to the notion of traditional photography, yes it is.

I can see from their perspective that how the boundaries between traditional mediums (Video, Photography, Illustration, etc) are getting blurred.

But for others this is just the beginning of the convergence process -that as Chase Jarvis puts it- is the most exciting time to be a photographer and I agree with him.

On a similar note on the convergence and threat to professional/commercial boundaries take this for example ( i think this is huge):
