Does anyone know if a permit is required to shoot in Edward Gardens? This is for non commercial use but will likely have a small lighting set up.

For general photography, they don't bother you but if you start setting up lights and stands and taking pics of people, they might question you. Once you start showing up with light stands etc, most times they automatically assume you're a pro doing commercial work and it's your word against theirs.

To be safe, you might want to inquire, not necessarily for a permit, just in case. You can call the Parks Permit office at 416-392-8188.

Oh, if you're doing really quick setups and moving around, you might be able to avoid any park officials. :D
