A very old friend of mine is getting married in early November. He's getting bespoke suits made for himself and his father to celebrate his impending nuptials. I introduced him to my tailor and friend, Don head designer at Trend Custom Tailors. I've been following Russ and his dad, Archie while they go through this process. The series is unfinished, they have a second fitting later this week and a final fitting (and pick up this weekend).

Here are some of the pics so far:

Great gift to your friend Ken! Alas, I wish I could get some advice regarding my project... I don't really know what I'm going to do with it!

which project? maybe you don't have to 'do something' with it in the end...[insert the journey vs the destination analogy]... the reality is that the prints I make from this series will be of far greater value to my friend, his father and perhaps Don then for myself, however the time spent with them and the process I go through in reviewing the negs and editing down to a group for print will be invaluable to me personally....

Nice pictures capturing the moment Ken. I'm sure your friend will really appreciate your efforts.

these three are the coolest!

i was looking through your flickr and love some of your black and white shots. i'm no expert, but in my opinion some people don't know how to edit black and white photos properly (too much contrast, too much/little noise, etc). you sir, don't seem to have that problem. well done!

Awesome series.

I have made attempts with projects but they really take so much more effort than stand alone photos, and are not easy to put together.

On a more personal note I have worked together with Archie for a short period of time after our companies merged, nicest gentleman you will ever meet, please say hi to him.

Hi Peter - Thanks for that. I've known Archie since I was 7-8 years old. He's truly a gentleman. It's a small world.

Great work! I have several project's I am working on, of which the major project is photographing historic mills in Ontario. Hoping to branch out to other provinces, and eventually have a cross Canada portfolio of work.

That's a really great project idea Ken. And I think your friend will really appreciate the work you've put into it.

During the summer I worked on a project. It was definitely more for myself than anyone else - I wanted to play with black and white workflows. I called the project "White Noise". I came up with 8 final shots - again more for myself than anyone else.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mospin/3998284042/" title="white noise by mospin, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3510/3998284042_42ce007e2e.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="white noise"></a>

I have a bunch of ideas, too little time and need to actually get better with my camera & post processing. I was thinking my next project should focus on my composition skills. Or photoshop skills. Or both. :)

My Guantanamo Bay photos are a project, though I have no idea where I'm going with them yet.
