Experimented with my 30D tethered to a laptop, in intervalometer mode -- shot every 30 seconds or so.

It was a strobist celebration, lol.

I had the camera on a tripod about standing height, thus looking down at activities seated.

I had the 580 flash off-camera on a side tripod, through a shoot-through umbrella. It was positioned maybe a foot or so to camera right.

On the far side of me was a white reflector providing some bounce-back to even out the lighting a bit (the room was otherwise quite dark).

So, it was an experiment on many levels:
1) can I carve this?
2) can I work this intervalometer thing?
3) will this off-camera flash chord work?
4) had not yet tried shooting through the Westcott "strobist special" umbrella yet
5) how does one assemble 600 photos into a 20 second video?
6) where does one find royalty-free accompaniment/background music?

So, I'm pleased all in all, I think. Was fun. Thanks for letting me share.
